Sasidharan Report of Event : The PG Department of English organized “A Biopic of Dr. A.P.J Abdulkalam” to enrich the enacting skills of the students. The event took place in the Vallabhacharya Auditorium. The play was performed by I BA students and showcased the life history of Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam. It has enriched students on various life incidents of Kalam. Outcome of the Programme: Students enjoyed the play performance and understood the significance of enacting a drama on a larger scale. R Report of Event : The PG Department of English organized “Outfit: Let’s Break the Stereotype - A Theatrical Performance” to enrich the enacting skills of the students. The event took place in the Vallabhacharya Auditorium. The play was performed by II MA students as a result of their value added course on Theatre Art. The performance was followed by value added course certificate distribution by the Principal Sir. Outcome of the Programme: Students enjoyed the play performance and understood the significance of enacting a drama on a larger scale.   Uma parameshwaran’s Sita promise - a play performance Date and venue: The play took place on 20 th September 2022 in Jagad Guru Vallabhacharya auditorium. The play had begun at 1:00 pm Resource person: Dr. Amrutha , head department of criminology and police administration, chaired the session. Joint organizing secretary: Dr. R. Keerthana                              Play performances: The P. G. department of english organised a threatre performance on the remarkable Canadian play “Sita's Promise” by Uma parameshwaran . Sita’s promise is written in the form of a dance drama which includes all mythological elements and indian traditional dances. After the graceful performance was over, Dr. Amrutha, head department of criminology and police administration, who chaired the session, expressed her views.   Inauguration of Masquerade and Amphitheatre The P.G. Department of English hosted a theatre event, 'Masquerade' in Bhasha Sangam,  first floor on 26th August 2022 at 11:00 am. This event was organized by our joint  organising secretary Dr. Keerthana , along with student coordinators Prathayanka. S. J and  Sunil. S from 3rd B.A English. The resource person for the event was Mr. I Noorul Hasan ,  Library Attender & Theatre Performer. He delivered a lecture on the topic titled  “Narrative on Theatre “. He covered the history of theatre and its development in India.  Following that, he trained the students on theatre perf ormance and explained the  nuances.
