Uma parameshwaran’s Sita promise - a play performance

Date and venue:

The play took place on 20th September 2022 in Jagad Guru Vallabhacharya auditorium. The play had begun at 1:00 pm

Resource person:

Dr. Amrutha, head department of criminology and police administration, chaired the session.

Play performances:

The P. G. department of english organised a threatre performance on the remarkable Canadian play “Sita's Promise” by Uma parameshwaran. Sita’s promise is written in the form of a dance drama which includes all mythological elements and indian traditional dances. After the graceful performance was over, Dr. Amrutha, head department of criminology and police administration, who chaired the session, expressed her views.

Outcomes of the event:

Through this play, the students learnt about many mythological characters and elements. It also helped some of the students, in making them come out of their comfort zone and made them to exhibit their Individual talents.
