Activity based learning club Gamification with modals

Department of English conducted the fourth session of ABL Activity Based Learning - Gamification with modals for the students of BA English. The main objective of the ABL Club is to enrich students in English Grammar, vocabulary, English skills and competency skills. An interactive and fun ABL session was conducted on Modal Verbs. This session was important for students to enrich their daily learning in English. It enhances a speaker in speaking ability, making requests and offers, asking permission, and more. The session consisted of various activities using ICT tools including activities like learning modals through question making, Traffic rules and modals, crossword puzzles and modal verbs. Seminar on Ecocriticism

Date : 28th July, 2023 Faculty coordinator : Ms. Nandhini Praveen Venue : First floor, Basha Sangam  DETAILED REPORT OF THE EVENT On July 28, 2023, two resource persons were invited to talk in the Seminar on Ecocriticism. The first session was by Dr. Kalyani Pricilla , Assistant Professor fromA nna University. She threw light on the topic " An Ecofeminist reading of Mahashweta Devi's  Witch ". She also mentioned other subjects related to ecocriticism like Ecofeminist critics from all over the world, Patriarchy and extra activism, renowned Indian and western ecofeminist writers, pioneers who examined the ecofeminist movement.She also shared information about the lives of Tribals in the Rhota Hills.       Dr.Shoba. Library Visit to US Consulate General

Dhanalakshmi                                       Ms. Nandhini Praveen The students of the PG Department of English visited the American Consulate on 6th July, 2023 as part of an experiential visit. A total number of 31 students from II M.A. and 2 faculty members were able to go to the library. The students gained good exposure in this visit as they spent more than 2 hours in the library. Moreover, all 31 students were able to get their membership and be there for the entire process.          Some of the benefits of this visit will be in terms of producing quality research papers, journal, articles and all the more, increasing one's critical area of thinking with all the extensive collection of books, journals and other research materials that covered a wide range of interests and academic disciplines available there.
