Detailed report on the event: 

The P.G. Department of English conducted the fourth session of ABL Activity Based Learning - Gamification with modals for the students of BA English. The main objective of the ABL Club is to enrich students in English Grammar, vocabulary, English skills and competency skills. An interactive and fun ABL session was conducted on Modal Verbs. This session was important for students to enrich their daily learning in English. It enhances a speaker in speaking ability, making requests and offers, asking permission, and more. The session consisted of various activities using ICT tools including activities like learning modals through question making, Traffic rules and modals, crossword puzzles and modal verbs. Other fun sessions were held for understanding speaking etiquettes amongst students in the classroom. Similar ABL sessions will be conducted every month.

Outcomes of the Session:

·       Students gained an understanding of the practical importance of modal verbs.

·       It improves everyday learning through fun activities.

·       It enriched students in understanding modals with regard to traffic rules.

  Event-Report: The P.G Department of English organized Parent Teacher Meeting for MA English students on 5 th  February 2026   for the even semester of the academic year 2025-26. Parents and their respective wards were requested to attend the meeting between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm. The class-in-charges, Ms. Nandhini Praveen and Ms. Raveena Neeraj Kumar of I MA and II MA English discussed the students’ discipline, academic performance, punctuality, classroom interaction, dress code and participation in co-curricular activities with the parents. Two Day Life Skills Enhancement Workshop on "Holistic Wellbeing and Resilience"

Date and Time: 10th October 2023 to 11th October 2023, 10:00 am to 1:30 pm Venue: Cauvery Block, Sports Complex, First Floor Faculty Coordinator: Ms. Nandhini Praveen and Ms. Krithika A PG Department of English organised a two-day workshop titled “ Holistic Wellbeing and Resilience ” on 10th and 11th October 2023. The aim of the workshop is to provide adaptive, emotional and positive behaviour that enable students to deal effectively with the demands and challenges of everyday life. The Day 1 (10.10.2023) Session 1 : was commenced with the college prayer followed by Welcome address. Then Mr. J.
