Invitation of the Lecture

P.G  department of English organised the lecture for the students called “Successful Retention Strategies: Literary Dates & Year” on 27th August, 2022. The lecture was given by the Resource person Mr. V. Mainar, Assistant professor of English department in D.G.Vaishnav college. The Programme Coordinator professor G. M. Prem Kumar and the students committee members Sivaranjini.T and David Prince.B.E from II M.A English, were instrumental in organizing the lecture. This lecture was highly beneficial for the students .The students were enlightened to new idea on how to remember the important dates, years and author's names, for their competitive exams. In the end of the round, an interactive question and answer round was effectively conducted. The entire session was fruitful and engaging.

  Event-Report: The P.G Department of English organized Parent Teacher Meeting for MA English students on 5 th  February 2026   for the even semester of the academic year 2025-26. Parents and their respective wards were requested to attend the meeting between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm. The class-in-charges, Ms. Nandhini Praveen and Ms. Raveena Neeraj Kumar of I MA and II MA English discussed the students’ discipline, academic performance, punctuality, classroom interaction, dress code and participation in co-curricular activities with the parents. Parents’ queries related to their wards were clarified. Parents’ feedback was also collected.  Outcome of Event: The PTM helped establish an acquaintance between the class-in-charges and the parents. It helped in understanding students behaviour and performance. It brought out new approaches to solve the problems of the students.

Two Day Life Skills Enhancement Workshop on "Holistic Wellbeing and Resilience"

Date and Time: 10th October 2023 to 11th October 2023, 10:00 am to 1:30 pm Venue: Cauvery Block, Sports Complex, First Floor Faculty Coordinator: Ms. Nandhini Praveen and Ms. Krithika A PG Department of English organised a two-day workshop titled “ Holistic Wellbeing and Resilience ” on 10th and 11th October 2023. The aim of the workshop is to provide adaptive, emotional and positive behaviour that enable students to deal effectively with the demands and challenges of everyday life. The Day 1 (10.10.2023) Session 1 : was commenced with the college prayer followed by Welcome address. Then Mr. J. Praveen Prabhu felicitated the speaker Mr. Tarun Murugesh , Lifeguard Instructor & Master First Aid Trainer. The speaker shared the importance of Lifeskills training to the students.
