A session on Alumni motivational talk

A session on Alumni motivational talk was held at Bhasha Sangam block. The Event Co-ordinator was Mrs. Raveena Neeraj Kumar. The speakers of the event were the alumni of DG Vaishnav college, Divya Madhughandran, Executive - Cognizant Technology Solutions (HR) and S. Haribalasiranjeevi, DEAN of Budhha IAS Academy Proprietor- Seethalakshmi Event Management.

             Ms. Divya discussed on HR profession and the value of it’s progression. She also highlighted the preference for English graduates in the field, due to their creativity and efficient language. It was informative, motivational and a guiding session for students. 

              Secondly Mr. S. Haribalasiranjeevi addressed the students who were preparing for Civil service exams and provided sufficient tips to crack the competitive exam. He encouraged students to be consistent and hardworking. He broadened the perspective of career for the students and that English graduates are not limited just in the field of teaching. Sessions ended with student interaction, which was done constructively. The event was successful and it entertained good response from the students.

  Event-Report: The P.G Department of English organized Parent Teacher Meeting for MA English students on 5 th  February 2026   for the even semester of the academic year 2025-26. Parents and their respective wards were requested to attend the meeting between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm. The class-in-charges, Ms. Nandhini Praveen and Ms. Raveena Neeraj Kumar of I MA and II MA English discussed the students’ discipline, academic performance, punctuality, classroom interaction, dress code and participation in co-curricular activities with the parents. Parents’ queries related to their wards were clarified. Parents’ feedback was also collected.  Outcome of Event: The PTM helped establish an acquaintance between the class-in-charges and the parents. It helped in understanding students behaviour and performance. It brought out new approaches to solve the problems of the students.

Two Day Life Skills Enhancement Workshop on "Holistic Wellbeing and Resilience"

Date and Time: 10th October 2023 to 11th October 2023, 10:00 am to 1:30 pm Venue: Cauvery Block, Sports Complex, First Floor Faculty Coordinator: Ms. Nandhini Praveen and Ms. Krithika A PG Department of English organised a two-day workshop titled “ Holistic Wellbeing and Resilience ” on 10th and 11th October 2023. The aim of the workshop is to provide adaptive, emotional and positive behaviour that enable students to deal effectively with the demands and challenges of everyday life. The Day 1 (10.10.2023) Session 1 : was commenced with the college prayer followed by Welcome address. Then Mr. J.
