              The workshop took place on 15, October 2022 at University of Madras. The workshop had begun to start at 10:30am

              Dr. M. Kamalakkannan, M.A., M.Phil., Ph.D. (P.G. and Research department of English, Presidency college(autonomous) Chennai.

Workshop on Film and literature:

              In the session, the resource person covered extensively on the topics such as, Artworks, Editing, Camera Angles, Adaptation, etc. He enlightened the students about the basic editing techniques and common transitions, that they are expected to master, in order to seek this path, as a career option. He explained, at length, on how different camera angles, change the perspective of the viewers. He shed light on how artwork was an extremely serious component in show business. The lecture helped the students to understand the nuances, while making an adaptation. The workshop shed light on all the work that goes into the movie, from the technical side, and was really helpful for the students to understand and learn the processes.

  Event-Report: The P.G Department of English organized Parent Teacher Meeting for MA English students on 5 th  February 2026   for the even semester of the academic year 2025-26. Parents and their respective wards were requested to attend the meeting between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm. The class-in-charges, Ms. Nandhini Praveen and Ms. Raveena Neeraj Kumar of I MA and II MA English discussed the students’ discipline, academic performance, punctuality, classroom interaction, dress code and participation in co-curricular activities with the parents. Parents’ queries related to their wards were clarified. Parents’ feedback was also collected.  Outcome of Event: The PTM helped establish an acquaintance between the class-in-charges and the parents. It helped in understanding students behaviour and performance. It brought out new approaches to solve the problems of the students.

Two Day Life Skills Enhancement Workshop on "Holistic Wellbeing and Resilience"

Date and Time: 10th October 2023 to 11th October 2023, 10:00 am to 1:30 pm Venue: Cauvery Block, Sports Complex, First Floor Faculty Coordinator: Ms. Nandhini Praveen and Ms. Krithika A PG Department of English organised a two-day workshop titled “ Holistic Wellbeing and Resilience ” on 10th and 11th October 2023. The aim of the workshop is to provide adaptive, emotional and positive behaviour that enable students to deal effectively with the demands and challenges of everyday life. The Day 1 (10.10.2023) Session 1 : was commenced with the college prayer followed by Welcome address. Then Mr. J.
