C.A.R.E. An Outreach Programme

Detailed report of the event:

          The P.G. department of English conducted an outreach programme on 13th April 2023. The students of I and II MA English organized awareness and cultural programme in Sankalp, The Open school at Shenoy Nagar. They engaged the special students with games, dance and singing to showcase their talents. The programme started by facilitating the Founder and the Principal of the school. Our student initiated the event by presenting  awareness  talks on food habits and on the idea of consent . The students also conducted games effectively and the children took part with enthusiasm. They distributed gifts to the special children. The Principal along with the parents and the students appreciated the participated students for engaging the special kids with various activities.                             

Outcome of The Event:

The Principal of Sankalp along with the parents appreciated the concern, empathy, and the efforts of our students. The special children of the school benefitted extensively from this interaction which also enhanced their capabilities.

  Event-Report: The P.G Department of English organized Parent Teacher Meeting for MA English students on 5 th  February 2026   for the even semester of the academic year 2025-26. Parents and their respective wards were requested to attend the meeting between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm. The class-in-charges, Ms. Nandhini Praveen and Ms. Raveena Neeraj Kumar of I MA and II MA English discussed the students’ discipline, academic performance, punctuality, classroom interaction, dress code and participation in co-curricular activities with the parents. Parents’ queries related to their wards were clarified. Parents’ feedback was also collected.  Outcome of Event: The PTM helped establish an acquaintance between the class-in-charges and the parents. It helped in understanding students behaviour and performance. It brought out new approaches to solve the problems of the students.

Two Day Life Skills Enhancement Workshop on "Holistic Wellbeing and Resilience"

Date and Time: 10th October 2023 to 11th October 2023, 10:00 am to 1:30 pm Venue: Cauvery Block, Sports Complex, First Floor Faculty Coordinator: Ms. Nandhini Praveen and Ms. Krithika A PG Department of English organised a two-day workshop titled “ Holistic Wellbeing and Resilience ” on 10th and 11th October 2023. The aim of the workshop is to provide adaptive, emotional and positive behaviour that enable students to deal effectively with the demands and challenges of everyday life. The Day 1 (10.10.2023) Session 1 : was commenced with the college prayer followed by Welcome address. Then Mr. J. Praveen Prabhu felicitated the speaker Mr. Tarun Murugesh , Lifeguard Instructor & Master First Aid Trainer. The speaker shared the importance of Lifeskills training to the students.
