Detailed Report on the Event :

          The III BA students were taken to Chennai Govt. Higher secondary school, Choolaimedu as a part of their extension activity on 12th April. The students were asked to engage the school students with topics life digital privacy, career guidance, emotional intelligence and with fun games.  This Extension activity will be beneficial to the students in many ways, including improving their critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Furthermore, it will be an opportunity for students to learn something new and enhance their creativity.                                          

Outcomes of the Event :

 The Principal of Government Higher Secondary School, Choolaimedu along with the parents appreciated the concern, empathy, and the efforts of our students. The children of the school benefitted extensively from this interaction which also enhanced their capabilities.

  Event-Report: The P.G Department of English organized Parent Teacher Meeting for MA English students on 5 th  February 2026   for the even semester of the academic year 2025-26. Parents and their respective wards were requested to attend the meeting between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm. The class-in-charges, Ms. Nandhini Praveen and Ms. Raveena Neeraj Kumar of I MA and II MA English discussed the students’ discipline, academic performance, punctuality, classroom interaction, dress code and participation in co-curricular activities with the parents. Parents’ queries related to their wards were clarified. Parents’ feedback was also collected.  Outcome of Event: The PTM helped establish an acquaintance between the class-in-charges and the parents. It helped in understanding students behaviour and performance. It brought out new approaches to solve the problems of the students.

Two Day Life Skills Enhancement Workshop on "Holistic Wellbeing and Resilience"

Date and Time: 10th October 2023 to 11th October 2023, 10:00 am to 1:30 pm Venue: Cauvery Block, Sports Complex, First Floor Faculty Coordinator: Ms. Nandhini Praveen and Ms. Krithika A PG Department of English organised a two-day workshop titled “ Holistic Wellbeing and Resilience ” on 10th and 11th October 2023. The aim of the workshop is to provide adaptive, emotional and positive behaviour that enable students to deal effectively with the demands and challenges of everyday life. The Day 1 (10.10.2023) Session 1 : was commenced with the college prayer followed by Welcome address. Then Mr. J. Praveen Prabhu felicitated the speaker Mr. Tarun Murugesh , Lifeguard Instructor & Master First Aid Trainer. The speaker shared the importance of Lifeskills training to the students.
