Report of the event:
The PG Department of English organized a lecture on "Enriching Reading
Activities: A Visit to British Council Library" in collaboration with the British
Council, Chennai, for the benefit of the students. The resource person was Mr. Rubin Sharoon, Senior English Language Teacher, British Council. The event took place in the British Council Library. The speaker started the event with interesting activities. He also explained in detail about the courses offered by the British Council. He also elaborated further on the ways in which the library resources can be accessed. The session ended with students exploring the resources in the library.

Outcome of the Programme:
Students realised the importance of visiting a library and accessing the resources for both assignment and research purposes. Succeeding the lecture, most of the students were interested in getting the membership from the library.

  Event-Report: The P.G Department of English organized Parent Teacher Meeting for MA English students on 5 th  February 2026   for the even semester of the academic year 2025-26. Parents and their respective wards were requested to attend the meeting between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm. The class-in-charges, Ms. Nandhini Praveen and Ms. Raveena Neeraj Kumar of I MA and II MA English discussed the students’ discipline, academic performance, punctuality, classroom interaction, dress code and participation in co-curricular activities with the parents. Parents’ queries related to their wards were clarified. Parents’ feedback was also collected.  Outcome of Event: The PTM helped establish an acquaintance between the class-in-charges and the parents. It helped in understanding students behaviour and performance. It brought out new approaches to solve the problems of the students.

Two Day Life Skills Enhancement Workshop on "Holistic Wellbeing and Resilience"

Date and Time: 10th October 2023 to 11th October 2023, 10:00 am to 1:30 pm Venue: Cauvery Block, Sports Complex, First Floor Faculty Coordinator: Ms. Nandhini Praveen and Ms. Krithika A PG Department of English organised a two-day workshop titled “ Holistic Wellbeing and Resilience ” on 10th and 11th October 2023. The aim of the workshop is to provide adaptive, emotional and positive behaviour that enable students to deal effectively with the demands and challenges of everyday life. The Day 1 (10.10.2023) Session 1 : was commenced with the college prayer followed by Welcome address. Then Mr. J.
