Detailed Report on the Event :
The PG Department of English organized seminars on Translation - 'Weaving Words '& "ELT Theories and Methods - An Overview". The first session was on Translation. Ms. Bhooma Veeravalli, an accomplished Poet, Translator, and Principal Executive Director (HR) at the Ministry of Railways, Rail Bhawan, New Delhi, served as the distinguished resource person. The session provided students with a deep appreciation for the art of literary translation, enhanced linguistic competence, and a broader perspective on cultural diversity through language.
          The second session on ELT Theories and Methods provided MA English students with valuable insights into English Language Teaching. Dr. Chandrakumar, an esteemed Assistant Professor of English at Pachayappas's College for Men in Kanchipuram, served as the knowledgeable resource person.
Overall, Both seminars contributed significantly to the academic and professional growth of MA English students, broadening their horizons and empowering them to excel in their chosen paths.
