Detailed report of the event:

The P.G. Department of English, in collaboration with the Institution's Innovation Council (IIC), organized a Entrepreneurial Skill Training program titled "Unlocking Entrepreneurial Skills: A Synergistic Support from Banks" on December 22nd, 2023. This program specifically targeted III BA students, aiming to equip them with valuable entrepreneurial skills.

Mr. Vishal S, RM- Deputy Manager at ICICI Bank, Chennai, served as the esteemed resource person for the program. His expertise provided students with insightful guidance on navigating the world of entrepreneurship, particularly focusing on the crucial role banks play in supporting new ventures.
The program's inauguration ceremony witnessed active participation not only from III BA students but also from students of I BA and II BA programs within the department. 

To further ignite the entrepreneurial spirit, the program incorporated a captivating Power Point Presentation Competition. This competition was open to enthusiastic participants from all batches within the department, fostering a spirit of healthy competition and creativity. The program culminated in a felicitation ceremony where Sandhiya, Devesh, and Subasri were recognized and awarded for securing the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd positions, respectively, in the competition.

Outcome of the event:
Students were made aware of the snergy between the banking sector and humanities. They were updated about the role of the banking sector in ntrepreneurship. Students also had an experiential exposure to the importance of interpersonal skills and time management through the competetion.

  Event-Report: The P.G Department of English organized Parent Teacher Meeting for MA English students on 5 th  February 2026   for the even semester of the academic year 2025-26. Parents and their respective wards were requested to attend the meeting between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm. The class-in-charges, Ms. Nandhini Praveen and Ms. Raveena Neeraj Kumar of I MA and II MA English discussed the students’ discipline, academic performance, punctuality, classroom interaction, dress code and participation in co-curricular activities with the parents. Two Day Life Skills Enhancement Workshop on "Holistic Wellbeing and Resilience"

Date and Time: 10th October 2023 to 11th October 2023, 10:00 am to 1:30 pm Venue: Cauvery Block, Sports Complex, First Floor Faculty Coordinator: Ms. Nandhini Praveen and Ms. Krithika A PG Department of English organised a two-day workshop titled “ Holistic Wellbeing and Resilience ” on 10th and 11th October 2023. The aim of the workshop is to provide adaptive, emotional and positive behaviour that enable students to deal effectively with the demands and challenges of everyday life.
