Experiential Visit to Connemara Library

The PG Department of English, DDGD Vaishnav College, organised an ' Experiental Visit to Connemara public Library' for PG students. The Visit was intended to create awareness on reading activities among the students community. During the visit, the students enthusiastically looked around all the sections in one of the oldest libraries in the State of Tamilnadu.
Moreover, to participate in any sort of research activity, the Post-graduate students need to understand the fundamental idea of 'searching' and 're-searching' for various resources in the library. Based on this idea, the students eagerly searched for resources which would be useful for their useful note that is most of the students getting secondary sorces from their areas of studies for research projects.

Outcome
Students understood the importance of visiting libraries. They also realised that searching for resouces in the library would immensely support their research activities. They also collected rare research materials for their research projects.

  Event-Report: The P.G Department of English organized Parent Teacher Meeting for MA English students on 5 th  February 2026   for the even semester of the academic year 2025-26. Parents and their respective wards were requested to attend the meeting between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm. The class-in-charges, Ms. Nandhini Praveen and Ms. Raveena Neeraj Kumar of I MA and II MA English discussed the students’ discipline, academic performance, punctuality, classroom interaction, dress code and participation in co-curricular activities with the parents. Two Day Life Skills Enhancement Workshop on "Holistic Wellbeing and Resilience"

Date and Time: 10th October 2023 to 11th October 2023, 10:00 am to 1:30 pm Venue: Cauvery Block, Sports Complex, First Floor Faculty Coordinator: Ms. Nandhini Praveen and Ms. Krithika A PG Department of English organised a two-day workshop titled “ Holistic Wellbeing and Resilience ” on 10th and 11th October 2023. The aim of the workshop is to provide adaptive, emotional and positive behaviour that enable students to deal effectively with the demands and challenges of everyday life. The Day 1 (10.10.2023) Session 1 : was commenced with the college prayer followed by Welcome address. Then Mr. J.
