Rhetoricians: An Efficacious Speaking Forum

 Event-Report:

The PG Department of English & Litluminary organized a session on “Consider, Collaborate, Communicate” for BA English students of Rhetoricians: An Efficacious Speaking Forum. The session started with the brainstorming of contemporary social issues which was then followed by a group discussion on the topic of current state of gender equality. The students were distributed into three groups in which two groups discussed on the status, scenario and progress of gender equality while the third group had to summarize the points discussed by other two groups. The session was moderated and concluded by the programme coordinator, Ms. Raveena Neeraj Kumar who appreciated students for their active participation and encouraged others to follow the lead in the following sessions.


Outcome of Event:

The students got the exposure to talk before the audience with confidence and clarity

They learnt techniques to improve public speaking

They learnt creative and critical thinking, team work and effective communication skills

  Event-Report: The P.G Department of English organized Parent Teacher Meeting for MA English students on 5 th  February 2026   for the even semester of the academic year 2025-26. Parents and their respective wards were requested to attend the meeting between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm. The class-in-charges, Ms. Nandhini Praveen and Ms. Raveena Neeraj Kumar of I MA and II MA English discussed the students’ discipline, academic performance, punctuality, classroom interaction, dress code and participation in co-curricular activities with the parents. Parents’ queries related to their wards were clarified. Parents’ feedback was also collected.  Outcome of Event: The PTM helped establish an acquaintance between the class-in-charges and the parents. It helped in understanding students behaviour and performance. It brought out new approaches to solve the problems of the students.

Two Day Life Skills Enhancement Workshop on "Holistic Wellbeing and Resilience"

Date and Time: 10th October 2023 to 11th October 2023, 10:00 am to 1:30 pm Venue: Cauvery Block, Sports Complex, First Floor Faculty Coordinator: Ms. Nandhini Praveen and Ms. Krithika A PG Department of English organised a two-day workshop titled “ Holistic Wellbeing and Resilience ” on 10th and 11th October 2023. The aim of the workshop is to provide adaptive, emotional and positive behaviour that enable students to deal effectively with the demands and challenges of everyday life. The Day 1 (10.10.2023) Session 1 : was commenced with the college prayer followed by Welcome address. Then Mr. J.
